The 2010 Jeep Liberty is a five passenger SUV that has very good off road capabilities. The four wheel drive on the 2010 Liberty Sport model will allow you to take it anywhere. The optional equipment for the 2010 Jeep Liberty includes a front suspension skid plate, a transfer case skid plate, a fuel tank skid plate, and tow hooks that are all necessary for any serous of roader. These skid plate options are available for just $225.

The four wheel drive 2010 Jeep Liberty Sport comes standard with a V6 3.7 liter engine and a manual four speed transmission. It gets a fuel economy that is EPA estimated at 21 mpg highway and it has a 19.5 gallon fuel tank.

The optional equipment that is available on the 2010 Jeep Liberty includes auxiliary 12 volt power outlet, electronic stability control with roll mitigation, hill descent control, and hill start assist.

For an additional $545 the 2010 Jeep Liberty is availability with the optional Class II towing group. This includes a heavy duty engine cooling system, trailer sway control, a seven to one pin wiring adapter and wiring harness, a class III receiving hitch, and a black steel spare wheel.

The 2010 Jeep Liberty is fully off road capability. It can handle deep water and extreme off road terrain. It has a longer wheelbase that makes it somewhat less maneuverable than the Wrangler but is also has a larger cargo and passenger area that will meet the needs of families who have children better than the Wrangler.

With the second row seats folded flat, the 2010 Jeep Liberty can easily carry two road bicycles. It also has an optional towing package that provides a towing capacity of 5000 pounds. The 2020 Jeep Liberty also features a fuel cutoff which stops the flow of fuel when the vehicle is decelerating helping to improve fuel economy. To help the driver maximize the fuel economy the 2020 Jeep Liberty also has an economy light in the instrument panel. The 2020 Jeep Liberty comes standard with stain resistant fabric and active head restraints.

The base price for the Liberty Sport is $24,865, which doesn’t include a destination charge of $745. The full time four wheel drive system will cost you $445. An optional package that includes a tonneau cover, fog lights, cruise control, tinted glass, and roof rails for $995. It also offers an off road package that includes skid plates to protect the front suspension, transfer case, transmission, and fuel tank for $225. There is also a towing prep package that includes a full sized spare tire, wiring on the receiver and hitch, trailer sway control, and a bigger engine cooler for $545. In addition, the 2020 Jeep Liberty’s full time four wheel drive system costs an additional $445.

The 2020 Jeep liberty has a longer wheelbase that provides stability. However, most four wheel drive vehicles get worse fuel economy than two wheel drive vehicles. But the 2020 Jeep liberty makes an excellent vehicle for couples or small families that just want to do some off roading or take a mountain vacation without suffering too much as a daily driver.

The 2020 Jeep Liberty has unibody construction which maintains sufficient rigidity for driving off of the road. The 2020 Jeep Liberty comes standard with a live rear axle and independent front suspension. Although the solid axle doesn’t work as well as an independent system, it will function fine when towing a trailer.

The 2020 Jeep Liberty has small rear and front overhangs that provide it with the departure and approach angles that are required for driving off road. It also has a ground clearance of 7.8” which is enough to clear obstacles on dirt roads or trails.

The 2010 Jeep Liberty is powered by a V6 3.7 liter engine that provides sufficient power for the highway for merging into traffic. The low compression ratio of the engine permits it to run on 87 octane fuel. Rather than a timing belt this engine also has the standard time chain which will save the owner from having to change it until approximately 60,000 miles.

The automatic transmission with four speeds that comes standard with the 2020 Jeep Liberty doesn’t provide the fuel economy of a five or six speed transmission box, but it does shift smoothly. The two speed transfer case offers the low gears that are requires for trails that are off of the road. The 2020 Jeep Liberty has a four wheel drive system provides a front to rear power ration of 42/58 which imitates the performance of a rear wheel drive system. This system will transfer the engine power automatically to the wheels that have the best traction wet roadways or on trails. The 2020 Jeep Patriot also has a steering system that is rack and pinion which is sufficiently robust enough for all application that is off of the road. This system provides the vehicle with much better response on curvy than a system of worm gears will. It also has four wheel disc brakes that have antilock braking with four channels which allow the vehicle to stop in a linear, firm, manner.

Although there are large blind spots in the back corners of the 2010 Jeep Liberty, visibility is rather pretty good all around the vehicle. It has a park assist system which is optional, that will sound an audible alarm if it senses obstacles in the rear of the vehicle.

The 2020 Jeep Liberty comes standard with upholstery that is stain resistant which makes it easier to cleanup a spilled drink or dirt from the trail. The vehicle will seat as many as four adults and but the cup holders that are mounted it the floor behind the center console take up much of the legroom in the middle position. Still the average size adult will be comfortable.

The 2020 Jeep Liberty has a manual adjustable driver’s seat that is easy to use. It also has lower lumbar support that is adequate. The tilt steering wheel will help a driver who is smaller to maintain a clear forward view.

The front row passengers have plenty of access to bottle holders and storage space. There are two big cup holders that will hold 20 oz. bottles and the front doors have map pockets. There is a two piece center console and a glove box that provides concealed storage.

It is east to reach the temperature and audio controls from either of the front seating positions. There is a control that is located next to the gear shift lever that shifts the vehicle between four and two wheel drive.

In the cargo area there is a dome light and there are two overhead reading lamps up front to illuminate the interior during the nighttime. These lights make the gauges very easy to read in various lighting conditions.

The 2020 Jeep Liberty has flat folding rear seats in a 60/40 pattern that extends the cargo floor, making it easy to carry a bike in there. There is also cargo storage tray under the floor that is made of rubber that is washable. It is also easy to store items on the roof rails that are optional. The rear bumper has a rubber step pad to make loading overhead luggage easier.
The 2020 Jeep Liberty comes standard with electronic stability and traction control, antilock brakes, side curtain, side, and front airbags. The vehicle also comes standard with 24 hour towing assistance and a 100,000 or five year warranty.
